Brenda Horne, a real visionary, the CEO of the Southern Africa Shippers Council, was up till June 2011, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Maputo Corridor Logistics Initiative (MCLI) and has become known across the African Continent as the driving force to bring private and public sector together in finding workable solutions to ensure effective collaboration across all modes for freight transport and logistics.
Brenda has 35 years of experience with the corporate world where she held various positions in Human resources; Finance, as well as Marketing Administration and Logistics. She completed her Management Development Program during 1994 at the Business School of the University of Pretoria, where after she worked at a management level in the group, including four years abroad on international assignments in Zug, Switzerland and The Hague in the Netherlands.
Brenda is the recipient of many business, woman and leadership awards and is a sought after public speaker as well as conference facilitator and remains passionate about her philosophy of public private sector collaborative advocacy, integration, facilitation, coordination, communication, and evaluation with effective team development to ensure optimum results!
